I’m a food-lover whose plans of culinary school were thwarted. I recently completed a dual degree (MS+MPH) program in public health, food policy, and applied nutrition at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy at Tufts University in Boston, MA. I’m also a recent transplant to the Bay Area in California, a public health consultant, and social media lover. I recently led social media communications for the Berkeley vs. Big Soda campaign (Measure D, Berkeley’s soda tax passed with 76% of the vote in November 2014!).
I use this blog to write about all the food-related topics that interest me, including, in no particular order: food policy, nutrition, health news and policy, and exciting events in the food world. I also throw in the occasional recipe or restaurant review. More often, you can find me on Twitter @clanceypants, where 90% of my thoughts are about food.
Please note: while I strive to provide the most accurate and scientifically sound information about nutrition and health, I am not a registered dietitian or nutritionist. If you are looking for serious diet or health advice, please consult your healthcare provider.
A couple other things:
- Any of the cookbooks, food-related books or movies, etc. that I have mentioned on this site are available through my Amazon Store.
- Any photos published on this blog are either mine or I have cited their sources.
